However, to achieve the collective impacts we seek, we need individuals and organizations outside of our institutions and sectors to engage, collaborate, challenge, and disrupt for greater collective impact. From professional societies to health care professionals, community activists and organizers, public health professionals, educators, regulators, policymakers, and of course, patients and members of the community, we invite YOUR voice, YOUR story, and YOUR perspective about what really matters. This is just one of the many ways we will be seeking to uphold our core values of interdependence, belonging, and dignity; to transcend traditional hierarchies in medicine, and to elevate our collective wisdom and power in creating systemic change together. This creation is more than symbolic. It is a small step toward a future where health care is increasingly democratized, and every voice—particularly those historically marginalized—is integral in co-creating strategies for lasting impact.
